The programmes below are drawn from the Artificial Intelligence Board (AIB) qualification catalogue. AIB states that its live qualifications are Ofqual regulated; delivery is through AIB-approved centres. ILT can advise on the most suitable route and entry point.

Level 2

AIB Level 2 Award in Understanding AI

50 hours TQT | 20 GLH | 5 credits | Ages 14+

An introductory award covering AI concepts, practical use, ethics and societal impact. Assessment outcome: Pass or Referral.

Delivery: online, face-to-face or blended. No formal entry requirement; basic digital literacy is recommended.

AIB Level 3 Award in AI - Concepts, Ethics and Applications

50 hours TQT | 20 GLH | 5 credits | Ages 16+

Develops knowledge of AI concepts, ethical considerations and practical applications. Assessment outcome: Pass or Referral.

Delivery: online, in person or blended. No formal entry requirement; basic digital literacy is recommended.

AIB Level 3 Award in AI for Post-16 Educators

30 hours TQT | 9 GLH | 3 credits | Ages 19+

For educators working with post-16 learners who want to understand and apply AI in their professional context. Assessment outcome: Pass or Referral.

Delivery: online or blended. Teaching or training experience in further education is recommended.
