Dr. Niluka Wasalathanthri

Dr. Niluka Wasalathanthri

Member – Board of Governors

Dr. Niluka Wasalathanthri is an accomplished academic, researcher, and educator with extensive international experience in university-level science education. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Connecticut, United States.

She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut, a Graduate Certificate in College Instruction from the university's Neag School of Education, and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Her academic work encompasses pioneering research in materials chemistry, catalysis, and environmentally relevant chemical processes, featuring publications in internationally recognized scientific journals.

Combining scientific expertise with advanced training in college-level instruction, Dr. Wasalathanthri brings valuable perspectives on academic quality, rigorous teaching methodologies, research-informed learning, and international educational standards to ILT.

Dr. Charm Rammandala

Dr. Charm Rammandala is a distinguished sustainability strategist, university lecturer, author, and international supply-chain professional. His core areas of expertise span sustainability management, circular economy principles, global sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality management, and organizational transformation.

Throughout his career, Dr. Rammandala has held senior executive roles across sourcing, manufacturing, and sustainability, collaborating with prominent international organizations and global supply chains. He is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the California Academy of Sustainability Management.

He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Global Sourcing and Leadership, an MBA specializing in Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Fashion Product Management. As an experienced educator teaching across international platforms, Dr. Rammandala ensures ILT's programmes remain responsive to evolving industry needs and global sustainability standards.

Damith Kethaka serves as the Head of IT Programs, Lecturer, and IT Manager at the Institute of Leadership and Technology (ILT). Bringing extensive technical expertise and academic leadership, he oversees the institution's digital infrastructure, technology curricula, and practical IT learning pathways.

At ILT, Damith bridges advanced technical application—ranging from software engineering and modern automation workflows to data systems—with hands-on student mentoring. His focus is on equipping learners with future-ready technical skills, robust problem-solving frameworks, and real-world execution capabilities aligned with industry standards.

Through his dual role in operational management and academic delivery, Damith ensures that ILT's technology programmes remain innovative, industry-relevant, and centered on turning students into competent digital professionals.

Learning Facilitator

Lakshani Vithanawasam is a Learning Facilitator at the Institute of Leadership & Technology (ILT) with a distinguished academic background in Industrial Management. She graduated with a B.Sc. (Special) in Industrial Management from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, earning the prestigious Gold Medal for Best Performance of her degree.

At ILT, Lakshani plays an active role in developing and delivering high-quality academic programmes across Pearson BTEC and CTH qualifications. Her responsibilities span curriculum development, lecture delivery, assessment design, academic quality assurance, programme coordination, and supporting core academic operations. She collaborates closely with both academic and administrative teams to cultivate an engaging, student-centred learning ecosystem.

Passionate about inspiring curiosity and critical thinking, Lakshani is deeply committed to empowering students to build the knowledge, analytical skills, and professional confidence needed to thrive in today's dynamic global landscape.

Assistant Finance Manager

Thilina Sandaruwan is the Assistant Finance Manager at the Institute of Leadership and Technology (ILT), bringing rigorous financial oversight and strategic acumen to the institution's operations.

He is primarily responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow operations, regulatory compliance, and comprehensive financial analysis. Thilina plays a vital role in upholding organizational financial integrity and providing data-driven insights to support strategic institutional decision-making.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and has successfully completed the Managerial Level of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA), combining strong academic foundations with professional financial expertise.
